About me

I have been a passionate writer from a young age. More than anything, I’ve always loved storytelling. But storytelling doesn’t start and finish with fiction.

Whenever we are trying to communicate something - and particularly when we are trying to communicate something new to people for the first time - we are really telling a story. And when we think of our professional communications as storytelling instead of a press release or an article or a meeting report, then it instantly becomes more interesting and engaging.

I love the act of finding the story that piques interest and really resonates with the reader.

For the last 20 years I have honed my storytelling and writing skills in the field of healthcare communications. For the last 10, I have been an independent consultant and freelancer, working with a wide range of pharmaceutical, patient group and agency clients.

In my spare time, I run a poetry commission service, I write rhyming children’s books (the first one will be published in July 2019), and I am writing a novel.

I live in St Albans, just north of London, with my wife Susie, my three children Poppy, Amber and Cam, and my gecko Arthur!
